A Christmas Garland

Join Granta Chorale for a garland woven from festive music new and old, and plenty of traditional carols to sing along with. 

From Bob Chilcott’s ‘Rose in the Middle of Winter’ to Sarah Cattley’s ‘Ivy Chief of Trees’ to Janet Wheeler’s ‘This Christmas Life’, Granta celebrates the greenery which brightens the darkest nights of the year. The programme spans from the Renaissance right up to the present day, with the choir performing the winning carol from their inaugural carol competition for young people.

Doors will open at 6:30 pm, and the bar will have mulled wine and mince pies before the concert and during the half hour interval.

There will be a retiring collecting for Jimmy’s, a community-based charity providing both support and housing to people who are rough sleeping.
